Chart Downloader German Inland ENC - Broken
Hi
The chart Downloader links to Germany Inland ENCs are broken.
The download page does no longer exist what I can find out.
Like this:
https://www.elwis.de/Service/Inland-...015-03-17_0_47
The site seems to be in German only. If I remember correct there was an English version once.
Anyone here reading German better than me who can find out new download links to the inland ENC charts? I can find charts info PDFs only.
Thanks
Håkan

Re: Chart Downloader German Inland ENC - Broken
The ELWIS site has been overhauled.
The collection is now here:
https://www.elwis.de/DE/dynamisch/IENC/
German only as far I can see.
There is still a request from our side pending to get an XML-"entry" to the catalogue.
Today the entries are time-stamp "encoded", implies that the link changes with every update. Not doable for chart downloader but having somebody who follows this up and edits the chart downloader catalogue...

Re: Chart Downloader German Inland ENC - Broken
That was already on the way when we lodged our request. And got the answer: "Please wait until the new site is mature, then.."
Will have to knock at the door again.

Re: Chart Downloader German Inland ENC - Broken
Thanks Hubert.
Your link is fine and clear for manual download. So Chartloader would at least scrap the old link and refer to this one for manual download.
But the site does list names of available chart set and date of last release so a advanced crawler would be able to list and download the zip-file to be handled as before, i.e. manual unzip?

Re: Chart Downloader German Inland ENC - Broken
Pavel..
My post above was written while you posted.
Ok, I understand it's not that easy when reading the raw.githubusercontent.com/chartcatalogs/catalogs/master/DE_IENC..........
But meanwhile couldn't we just show Hubert's link in a msg box for DE-INLAND charts? Can you fix that using the "chartcatalogs"?

No, we couldn't, the advanced crawler (which as usually is me) is already preparing the update.

Re: Chart Downloader German Inland ENC - Broken
Håkan..
your proposal would weaken the idea of the chart downloader: automatic access and install to/of freely available chart resources.
A bit more comfortable than reading the manual about chart sources, I admit.

By no way .. it is just a very annoying situation where a correct and comfortable solution does not depend from us.

Hi,
Are they against automated downloads?
Is O xml already diverging from NOAA format? If yes adding a word for a put method wouldn't be to hard.

Håkan are you asking for programmer/edit level access to update/add catalogs that will work or are you asking to "unleash" ChartDownloader capability without requiring the strict catalog format?

No, they aren´t.
Just in the moment when we asked they where in plain process of migrating their web site and in the "I don't want to see any additional feature request now..".
