Chart directory

I have installed 4.2 for Android on my Sony android.
My charts are on the internal storage in a folder entitled charts. I use the same charts with Open CPN on my lap top.
I enter tools, select charts, select add chart directory, select new directory. What ever I enter the page stops working and I have to exit the app and re open. what do I have to enter to add a new folder to the directory?
