chart conversion

Hi, I am new to open cpn and electronic charting in general. I apologize if this question has been asked, I searched around for a while but i am not sure what exactly I am looking for so decided to ask. I have garmin bluecharts and I would like to use them with open cpn instead of having to buy all those charts again. Is this possible? Or do I have to go buy the charts I need, that are not available for free.

There is no support for any of Garmins different chart formats.

hiya..if it helps go to visitmyharbours website.they have resonable priced uk charts,on several systems that open cpn can read with the bsb4 plug in.
