Changing size of crosshair icon

Hello, I am trying to change the crosshair icon that appears when zoomed out of a chart. I am able to change the ownship icon, which shows at closer resolutions, however when I zoom the chart out it is replaced with a red crosshair icon.

I can find no information regarding this icon, it's location, or how to replace it.

It is not an icon but a programatically drawn object and as such can't be changed without modifying the code of the program that draws it.
