Change the OwnShip COG arrow?

Hello sailors

I have made a custom ownship icon and i think the COG arrow are to big. I would like a thin straigt line and not the fat dashed one.

How can i change it? running linux and opencpn 2.3.1

To change the ownship icon...check the documentation in the wiki, on opencpn.org, or the OpenCPN documentation on your computer.There is presently no direct way of changing the COG arrow, short of digging into the code.....

Damn. Then i hope for a option to change it in the next stable release

BTW is there a option to simulate a moving ship, would be nice for trying out your ownship icon for example or when you developing plugins etc

anything that can replay an NMEA stream will do for you. Will's Matrix Mariner GPS | My marine electronics blog comes with such data included, so will do what you need.
