Re: Building Opencpn using mingw (gcc) on Windows

does it run in 64 bit?? I never got it working but never tried wx 3.0 because the library names changed to include the wx version which broke the link as you found.

Maybe wx 3.0 is running in 64 bit mode? The installer should be easy. I never built chartdl plugin so... Most of my plugins should be working though.

Congratulations! Jean Pierre you are a steady master!
"after renaming its and some others tricks, I could build O successfully .."
I am sure Sean will lend a shoulder here.

Re: Building Opencpn using mingw (gcc) on Windows

As a workaround to be abble to build the enter project, I've added an "extern" declaration of
wxEVT_DOWNLOAD_EVENT in chartdldr_pi.cpp

So the compile is OK
I was able to make install, but make package didn't work and ended on these message :

/usr/bin/cpack --config ./CPackConfig.cmake
CPack: Create package using NSIS
CPack Error: Problem removing toplevel directory: /home/jeanpierremartine/Documents/Projects/OpenCPN/wcross-build/_CPack_Packages/win32/NSIS
CPack Error: Error when generating package: OpenCPN
Makefile:75 : la recette pour la cible « package » a échouée
make: *** [package] Erreur 1

I have nsis version 2.46 I got directly from Ubuntu library.
I tried to built the 3.0b0 version following Sean's instructions found in "https://github.com/OpenCPN/OpenCPN/blob/master/INSTALL", but it didn't work and I got plenty of errors

Re: Building Opencpn using mingw (gcc) on Windows

You would have to read into why there are errors making the package, it has a log file.

Otherwise, I am fairly sure you need nsis3.0b as I couldn't make 2.46 work.

You can at least test opencpn in wine?
