I can use old BSB3 Canadian Hydrographic Charts but would like to be able to use the newer versions

Hello, and thanks to all the developers on here. I'm just a lowly M.E. and don't have a clue about wrappers and sandboxes when it comes to software. I have a quick question...

I recently purchased a set of Maptech charts in BSB5 (five). I didn't know this until it arrived. I have to hand it to maptech, they offered to refund a return if not installed. BUT Will the BSB4 plugin work to open the BSB5? Just checking before I install and can't return. This is a Windows machine.

If you are looking for CHS raster charts, you might want to wait two weeks more and perhaps then you can select from an alternative offer.

I'm not looking for Canadian charts. I bought Maptech DVDR300 sweet, which is Caribbean mostly. I'm sailing south in 4 weeks and need to get my charts in order ASAP.

Will BSB5 run on OpenCPN using the BSB4 plugin??
