Bluetooth SPP remains at state unscanned

With android 13 and the newest version of opencpn I am not longer able to connect to a nmea0183 Bluetooth bride.
The state in the menu remains "unscanned". The data can be seen to flow in through a terminal app.
This exact setup used to work before - same android tablet and the same Bluetooth bride.
I am grateful for any advice to fix this.

DrStS...

Bluetooth scanning corrected in Android version 5.10.2 (114), available for update from Playstore now.

Please test and verify.
Thanks
