Bahamas Charts for OpenCPN

New comer to OpenCPN. I have exhausted my searching resources - and not come up with a source of digital charts for the Bahamas.

My Garmin 1040xs came with Explorer charts for the Bahamas - that is great. But I would like to use OpenCPN at my nav station, but it doesn't support Garmin charts. US RNC's and ENC's have some detail for the Bahamas, but not even close to Explorer quality.

Anyone solved this?

After further detective work I have found nv charts, and the associated plug-in. Anyone have experience with these charts for the Bahamas? How do they compare with the Explorer charts? Looking at $150+ investment, and would like to have better sense of what I'm getting.

Hello N1wr,

I assume you mean charts of the German NV-Verlag. I do not know their charts of the Bahamas.
But I bought charts of coasts of Europe, this editor. These charts have proved excellent.

Anyone with updated info or care to comment on charts for Bahamas and thru the P. Canal. Going to need some this spring. tks, j.
