Android OpenCPN Black Map

I can get opencpn running and charts downloaded but behind the image I never see anything other than black darkness. I can see Fathoms and meters written on the map. At my present time my GPS puts me well inland and that is a sad fact for now.

I try to scroll over but can never make it to the coast.

Am I at all failing in the hardware requirements or something obvious?

Please post your hardware, what os you are running and also opencpn version. I suppose to use opencpn 4.0 for a new instalation.

Also information of your graphics chip might be helpfull. Opencpn will run on most hardware and even a 10 year old laptop will mostly do just fine.

I'm running it in this one case on an LG617G although not the most recent OS 4.0.3

It did fire up on another android phone and charts loaded nicely although not the cm93 ones I'm currently hunting.
