Re: Android Development Underway
Wow! Didn't realise there were so many detailed charts in there! Is the UK not covered by NGA?

Are you saying you're developing Australian charts?

I'm splitting up the NGA raster chart catalog into bite size regions. I believe there is some coverage of Australian waters.
Here are the chart sources currently being used:
NOAA (Status: complete)
Nga (Status: partial)
LINZ (Status: complete)
https://www.mar.mil.br/ (Status: complete)

Re: Android Development Underway
Just downloaded the app. Seems very nice!
One thing I wish I could do :-) is to have waypoints and tracks.
I'm a java developer, just installed the android toolkit in my eclipse, and have ideas how to accomplish this, so I could help with this, if you want.

Hi Adrian,
Waypoints are available now and I'm currently developing track log features:

Re: Android Development Underway
Will, I'm wondering whether MXMariner is tied to the OpenCPN development cycle? Or is it all completely separate codebase at this point?
I have OCPN on the Macbook, would like to have its closest equivalent on the droid for uniformity . . .
thanks
nick

Nick,
MX Mariner doesn't have any common code with OpenCPN. Perhaps in the future when we get to into vector formats.

Re: Android Development Underway
try rezooming? sometimes some of the smaller charts like the sassafras dont show up on some views, shows all the channel markers, then stops. rezoom and they appear. If its even the same issue.

Lake Erie is in the REGION_24 chart set and Lake Ontario is in the REGION_26 chart set. I suppose these regions are small enough that they could possibly be combined in the future.
