As I would be running Android on the same Pi 5, over the same
WiFi connection as I run Raspbian, fed from the same 12V supply on the N2K backbone I am not sure why it would be a problem.
However, if it doesn't exist, it doesn't exist and converting the plugin to Java is beyond my talents.
I shall keep looking for another solution then. Ideally I want to run
Navionics (for the mapping quality and
route entry) ... and
OpenCPN for the radar overlay when I want to
work out what is happening in the murk ahead!
I currently have
OpenCPN running on a Pi 5 below
deck, and the stabilised radar display works great. I have a new open source plotter (1100+ nits,
water proof, Pi5 compute module) ... trying to decide whether to run Raspbian or Android on it ... currently running Android and
Navionics runs a treat, but it would be good to have the
Garmin radar overlayed on OpenCPN too .. maybe I'll have to look at a dual-boot solution.
