Anchor Alarm for a nearby boat with AIS?

Hi,

I'm taking care of two boats at the moment.
Both are at anchor next to each other and both have AIS.

As I can only be onboard one of them I'd like to set an anchor alarm for the boat I am, but would like to set another one for the other boat at anchor next to me.

As I can see the other boats AIS track, I'm wondering if there is a way to set an anchor alarm for an AIS target.

If yes, what's the easiest way?
If this isn't implemented yet, could that feature perhaps be added?

Ideally I do not want all AIS targets to give alarms.

I know there are options with two mobile phones and two SIM cards, but that's rather impractical.

Thanks for your help.

For the benefit of others, I found this solution. Maybe there is a simpler way?

Use the OpenCPN Draw plugin to draw a guard zone around the vessel.
Then define a boundary alarm in the Watchdog plugin.

It works. But, possibly there are easier ways to achieve this?
Also, could one somehow refine this by having the alarm only trigger for a set MMSI number?

You can have an App do that.

Because an App can collect AIS position data and make an alarm ring on (the position changing, or on proximity to an other position).

If something ready cannot do that I could probably snap an App for you. I already have apps here that use AIS data (over wifi - Android App).

You could do this with a JavaScript.

You could monitor the position of the other boat and sound an alarm if it changes by your chosen amount.

For the other ship, in mmsi properties set it as own ship(VDM->VDO). Then in connection block all incoming position data. Now you have the other verssels position on screen. Set an anchor alarm on it.
For your own vessel use your phone or something simular.
