AIS targets not displayed

Running OpenCPN 3.2 linked to Standard Horizon GX2100E which provides AIS information via a NMEA to USB convertor. All was working well until recently when AIS targets were not displayed and the AIS button was replaced with a question mark overlying the usual icon. According to the wiki, this means that there is a filter applied to AIS targeting, but I have checked the my settings and have no filter applied.

Does the AIS question mark icon have any other meanings - like OpenCPN is not receiving any AIS information at all?

Any ideas? Thanks

Re: AIS targets not displayed

No, the question mark indicates just that there are filters aplied.

And you are looking at the correct place at settings/ships/AIS-targets and there the settings at "Display"?

Anyhow: if you have doubts about the data stream just enable the "Show NMEA Debug Window" option at "connections" and observe if the AIS data are present.
