OK sorry for the delay in replying I did some experimenting so as to give as much info as possible.
1. my
monitor is 480 x 270mm Diag 550mm
2. Version 4.8.4
3. Screen resolution is set to 360 x 768 althouth the max resolution for the
monitor is 1920 x 1080.
4. Win 7 Pro 64 bit
Set manual screen width to 480mm see "manual 480.jpg" no change in AIS targets (still too small) But you can see that the preditictor is now fat.
Messed around with screen width between 48 to 4800 (200, 500, 1600, 2000) then back to 480mm and eventually got AIS targets to be correct size (or at least what I have been used to). AIS size scaling set to 0 default and set screen to Auto. See "Auto width.JPG". The preditictor remains fat. See also "Range Rings.jpg" these are now also fat.
Set manual screen width to 480mm see "manual 480.jpg"
Did a new install 4.8.4 replacing all config files. "New Install Man 480 or Auto.JPG". The AIS Targets are now tiny again but Own Ship is correct size and predictor is also correct fine line.
The above is a summary many attempts at setting the manual width, too low a number would hang OCPN depending on the chart zoom in place at the time.
I also reloaded 4.8.2 and it produces the same results as 4.8.4.
I also set resolution to 1920 x 1080 and repeated tests, it is still the same.
I also tried Open GL on and off in both resolution settings and again gives same result.
Any more info I can give let me know.
Thanks Peter
