Yes Ivanm but with a slightly different color, right?

Each time a AIS target is detected by OCPN the program first check if the MMSI number is already present in the "MMSI - vessel name" table. If so the name is printed with a weaker color until a AIS message holding the name is received. Also is a vessel name put in that table first time received.
Both your OCPN versions are using the same table, that's why O 4.4 now see the name O 4.5 was loading. The table's name is MMSINAME.CSV and is saved where the log file is. More about AIS can be read here: https://opencpn.org/wiki/dokuwiki/do...ar_buttons:ais

That is because O stores the names and mmsi numbers in a database. Once a mmsi number is connected to a name O shows the name even if it didn't receive it (yet).
