Re: AIS Navigational Status Quiz

Oh, sorry, I am a new user of OpenCPN...
Just seen that the SART handling is already implemented and suggestions like the autopilot connection should be placed in the Feature Request section.
Sorry.

Hoi Jesperwe,
Nice, maybe your second option for highspeed craft might be confusing with a north cardinal mark. A special when it is on a northerly cours.

Re: AIS Navigational Status Quiz

I think so too. A yellow star was suggested earlier, I'd second that.

Something that stands out

Re: AIS Navigational Status Quiz

AIS isn't necessary considered for Navigation as it is for Collision Avoidence.
But once you are use to it and you are running in fog... Remember that NOT every vessel out there has AIS and neither does buoys, lighthouses, rocks, rock jettys and Reefs.
All of the above still require Good ears, Eyes and knowing which is the correct side of the jetty and where it ends in the Ocean.
And for the boats without AIS? The same Rules of the Road apply to them also... That doesn't change one iota.
