Adjusting chart detail level

Since I started using oeSENC charts I found myself rather often clicking my way into the config settings for the chart zoom/weight setting. The setting for CM93 charts was much easier available wit the short cut key <D>.
So I did write some code to have the chart zoom/weight setting for raster and vector charts also available under the shortcut <D>.
It works fine for me under linux, but before asking Dave to merge it to the master code I would like to have it tested a bit more. Specially the behaviour with different chart plugins, oeSENC S63 BSB4 and NVVerlag.
A compiled linux64 version is here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-...nBwc2x1X0dhcmc
And the code can be found here: https://github.com/RooieDirk/OpenCPN branch "Detailslider"

I am aware that there is a difference between the CM93 detail settings and the Zoom/weight settings, but for the user it is more or less the same. More or less details on the screen.
Dirk

PS If somebody does a compile for an other OS please drop the result here.

Dirk..
If you've time and interests; Why not move the CM93 slider from ...>charts>vector charts to make company to the others at ...>Show<Advanced?

Now when we've several slider for nearly the same purpose it may be logical to collect them on one menu page.

I do agree. Personally I think the whole option menu structure could use a think over. And preferable not by a programmer, but by an user with some knowledge in design and ease of use.

hi,
interesting but CM93 and S57 can be displayed at the same time, in this case how is it for the user?
From the code it looks like it's choosing chart type under the mouse or something like that but for a user it may look random.

Indeed it is depending of the chart under the cursor.
But in the title of the popup window is clearly stated what kind of slider is active. I did use the same description for the title as is used in the option menu for the those sliders.
See picture. In this screenshot I put together three diiferent popups from three running instances of O. The popup window is modal so only one at a time is possible.

If the charttype under the cursor can't be found, (background chart for example) nothing will happen.
