Adjust frequency of RMB string broadcast

Hi all,

I am using OpenCPN AvNav on a raspberry pi in combination with a Nasa GPS repeater in the cockpit.
Nasa GPS repeaters have a few quirks, and mine has the annoying habit of intermittently sharing bearing to waypoint and distance to waypoint.
Now I discovered that AvNav has a feature that allows you to specify the time between two broadcasts of RMB. Default is 1 second. If I change this to 0.4 seconds, the repeater functions perfectly and continuously shows all data.

Is there a way to make OpenCPN do the same thing? Or to have SignalK do this for me? So far, I can't find it.
