Additional Military Layers in OpenCPN

Hello,

it is possible to show Additional Military Layers in OpenCPN? If not, what should I do to get this functionality?

Thanks

kasej...
Just had a look at Home and some of the docs and test data available there.
Yes, you can view at least some of it in OpenCPN - they are S-57 based. The support can sure be made much better, partly in the presentation library, partly in the code, part of it with not too much effort. But is it worth it? Will such data be available to the general public?

Re: Additional Military Layers in OpenCPN

Hello Pavel,

we want to produce ice charts for Ship Navigation. In classic ENC contain an ICEARE Object, but it shows only ice area, without ice specific attributes. In an AML there are more ice specific Attributes. Because of it, we will produce ice charts in AML Format, and the charts will be public. And now we are looking for opensource or free software, that can show our charts.

So basically the ice* ESB objects? I can have a closer look at what can be done to make them look fancy...
Do you have some testing data and reference renderings?
