So i just bought a boat
which comes with yanmar
4jh2 and zf 15miv. The way the salt water
is connected it comes though the hull
directly to the cooling
unit of the gearbox
and pass to the filter of the engine
after before it gets to the impeller.
My thinking is it would make more sense to let it pass by the filter/strainer first before it gets to the transmission
(which has a filter inside i think, but much smaller and hard to clean?)?
Anybody know if thats the normal way to connect this v-drive? Direct from the sea?
