Westerbeke assembled by Paragon

I’m having an issue with my reverse slips after 2000rpms . . I have a 1968 Morgan 45 with a rebuilt Perkins 4107. Full keel boat 22 tons . I originally thought it was the weight of it why she wasn’t so responsive in reverse . I thought about the articulating prop but I still have this issue to resolve . I’ve looked for this transmission but parts are unavailable. Is anybody familiar with Westerbeke built by paragon has an inspection plate for adjustments that’s already been done by previous owners . Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Westerbeke assembled by Paragon

I have a Westerbeke W80 with a paragon transmission. The previous owner rebuilt it in 2013. I thought about opening mine up when I get the engine out, as mine slowly turns the prop even when in neutral.

While paragron branded parts are no longer around, I've heard the clutch packs are pretty standard. Unverified, of course.
