Re: Odd, Old, Obscure or Mysterious Nautical Things and Boats
It is an Aries. I've got one too! Many thanks for the photo as I've been trying to
Work out how to fit it to a ketch and that bracket looks great. Do you have any more photos?

Re: Odd, Old, Obscure or Mysterious Nautical Things and Boats
Just read more…it's made in England ( like me). I have had confirmation from the inventors daughter. I think it's art/history and functionality all rolled into one lovely piece of engineering. Yup. It's REALLY heavy and nearly sank my dinghy!

Re: Odd, Old, Obscure or Mysterious Nautical Things and Boats
Thanks and thanks. If i wasn't so new I'd post some photos of mine but It won't let me. On the dinghy it's fine as long as you have a fat mate up the sharp end [emoji846]

Re: Odd, Old, Obscure or Mysterious Nautical Things and Boats
Something Old and Something New
I saw a page from a new publication today that featured an image (art) of a sailboat. Where I saw this, I only saw the art, with no caption or name or identity of the boat. I recognized this boat, but was surprised to see it in a new publication.
So, here is a new challenge or two for you:
First Challenge to you: Do you know the name of this boat? (I do.)
Second Challenge to you: Do you know the new publication? (I do.)
Hint: It is something every British sailor will likely have when cruising abroad.
