But you can offset that stretch against the actual words available. while the average vocabulary is around 30,000 words - there are over 170,000 words in the Oxford Dictionary, which would give close to 29 billion options just in English

Yeah, yeah, Stu, but somethig like "wud coracle" (a) is incomprehensible to most, (b) would be a very long phonetic spell out on VHF -as is our boat name, actually. No, I like names like "Aka" and "Bob", so if we ever have another boat, I'd vote for "I 3".

In 25 years, I've never heard or seen
mine duplicated on any other boat.
