Hello Everyone,
Been reading for months, but this is my first post.
I am taking a leave of absence this coming year to go sailing and on mission
work with our
family. Transatlantic crossing,
Mediterranean, then back to the
Caribbean, and the
USA.
We have spent the last six months evaluating, looking at, deciding on, and recently making offers on our
boat of choice.
We are
financing the
boat, and I thought that would be the difficult part, but it was actually very easy to secure the loan on the boat.
What seems to be the sticking point is insuring the boat. We have been turned down by two insurers so far due to lack of experience with crossings.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!
