instalment plans for new boats

Dear All,

I need help

I could imagine ordering a new boat soon. Delivery time is quite long, one year and more.
It's only that I have no clue how much (in percentage) is usually paid for the yacht during the different phases of the construction process.

Any ideas of what is common?

I've built two. It's always up to the factory but it is somewhat negotiable.

My experience has been 15% down for the initial order, then another 15% at some intermediate point, 40% with about a month to go, and the 30% balance upon receipt. YMMV though.
