Cruising to S. Pac on Someone Else's Vessel

Here's the scenario. Let's say I was going to cruise on a USCG documented boat but I were a Swiss National leaving from the USA to the S. Pacific Islands.

What paperwork would I need to prove I was authorized to use the boat?
Similar to a delivery Captain, I assume?
