Yeh, its getting pretty weird out here. Thursday my apartment building
lost part of its roof. Styrofoam and stuff all over the parking lot, on balconies, in the trees etc. Friday drizzling and moderate winds which didn't do much to effect the launch of the big boys by crane right up and over the fence. Saturday was sweet, sunny, warm but not too warm. Launched the balance of the
boats in the club in 9 hours. (about 140 boats). We got Espina into the
water, under command of the new owner, she fired up on the second crank. Went for a bit of a toot around the harbor while the new guy got a feel for her handling under
power and then into the
dock. Next week the
mast goes up and he takes her away.
I keep asking myself, Why the hell did I sell her?
Now I have to grit my teeth and get going on rebuilding
Sabre Dance. I am planning on getting her ready for launch for next April, with a new
engine,
fuel tanks, shaft log, prop strut and cutlass bearing, and a new main
cabin,
galley, nav station and reefer.
Oh well, I have my eye on a couple of 20-23 foot
trailer sailors just so I can keep my hand in.
