The Goat assures me that the Limo thing was part of his training - and who are we to doubt the word of a goat?
As always in a solo RTW voyage last minute things seem to crop up, at the moment the online tracking system is causing a few problems - and the Goat cam is proving more difficult than it first appeared. Be reassurred that all sponsorship / donations have been well spent
The delay is regrettable, but I am sure no one in their right mind would want this endeavour to go off half cocked, and therefore put the Goat at unneccesary risk
Start should be within the next few weeks - CF.com will be kept up to date............

Mr. Old_ Jersey,
Thank you for your prompt response. At this time we are withdrawing further support and canceling all future promotional events for the goat.
A group of young gentlemen from a rather decrepit schooner offered to purchase the four bales of Alpine winter grass for a substantial amount of money. Subsequently in the aftermath of the celebratory party my assistant tied the used tennis shoes together and managed to throw them over the power lines outside of the office.
We wish you and the goat all the best.
If you or the goat have need of my services for a slip and fall or other personal injury matter please feel free to contact me at my new office in Costa Rica.

As one of the organizers quietly putting together Foghorn Leghorns RTW, solo, unassisted trip I can assure you Mr. Leghorn is not a half a rooster. And Saltimanders, goats and other farmyard wannabes will be truly crushed by Our rooster's results.
And as for competing with dogs? We all know Foghorn's track record in that regard...

What I would like to know is what anchor does the goat prefer? Ronca, Mason supreme CQR or Bruce?

In his efforts to be cost efficient, Mr. Mander only used a open safety pin for an anchor. But he dove down and checked every placement. Thriftiness that I feel we should all emulate. 1

The goat cam will be crucial for the after voyage documentary. For the sound track of which, may I suggest The Rolling Stone's "Goats Head Sloop"?
Am I the only one concerned that the salamander's progress is just a little too fast? Is it possible he is just sailing in circles in the middle of the ocean while keeping two sets of log books? I believe that happened once before...

Not at all… Hermaphroditism is a common condition in goats and many crabs transiting the world.
Interviews have been given but censors tend to bleat out the more graphic descriptions of life at sea as a single handed goat. The Gay community has firmly come out behind Mr. Goat in support.

To give this epic quest the boost it needs, a new movie is being released today (6Nov09) to draw attention to Team Goat's effort. There had been some doubt about getting the film into production, but once George Clooney signed on it began to snowball. Clearly, DOJ has connections in high places.
Check out the website for the film, here: The Men Who Stare At Goats
And here's the Wiki entry for the film: The Men Who Stare at Goats (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A dam shame that Goat only gets fifth billing behind those other hacks actors.

Just wanted to update (and further hijack this thread) to say that Mr. S. Mander has now taken a exotic colorful (beautiful) mate and they plan on living the rest of their lives in a golf course pond in Florida. Look for him around "Circumnavigate Tee"
