Zag-
Looks like I'll be hibernating again this winter. I keep getting the wind knocked out of my sails by lying brokers and inept surveyors but I'm learning.
I am starting to think it might be easier and cheaper to buy a little spot in the islands. I'll let you know. Enjoy the sun.

Re: Snowbird Express !
there are boats here in mazatlan for sale and for sail--some actually have equipment. if you buy a spot in islands, will it have dockage for a 41 formosa???? front of boat shouldnt fall off until after i get there..LOL
as regards boats here--- boats in mexico CAN be riddled with fees(unpaid yard bills) and unpaid rent--omg, how could that happen--and may be more than they look for purchasing-- need to have someone look u the reality-- then ye dont get surprised-- have to be thorough in researching a boat here but there are some beauties....is ok to buy em, just research teh past due fees....liens, etc.

This will be a good resource however. When I finally get around to the Caribbean and experience all that would love to get back into the states via the ICW etc. and do something like the Great Circle Route. Seems like it would be a great way to experience the States.

I will be leaving Annapolis sometime towards the end of November for points south. Keep in touch, maybe, if the timing is right we can keep each other company fo a while.

Re: Snowbird Express !
Thx Don... gonna shoot for Nov 2012 but I expect it will be longer. Will definately stay in touch.
Zee... was looking at this option of downsizing before the repreive of a job. I have access to some air miles so travel was not a problem. I was also considering a Devlin Winter Wren (talk about micro cruising!) in Oriental,N.C. , much closer!
Anyway as in a previous post, back on track with Molly B and happy for it.
Was going to sell out, buy smaller, pocket the difference so I could get moving but thank goodness didn't have to go that way.

Re: Snowbird Express !
butler--what do you have to do to molly b to make her sail away.....might be an idea to ready and prep and try to get your work so you can do it remotely from other areas, and sail away....ethernet cable makes hard wire signals work .... easy to find and works even if a tad slowly...smooth sailing and see ye out here!
