Hello all,
Thought I would post my recent experience with checking into
cuba with our firearms aboard ;
What to expect
We were instructed to pull to
government dock at marina Hemingway, there we we're boarded by all the
government officials for agriculture, immigration, ect ect. We removed our firearms from safe put them on table so they could document
serial numbers and ammunition. Then they were taken to
dock house for keeping until i check out. (good thing to have gun bags for this reason) They explained that they can produce them on demand if I decide to check out any time of day. They were extremely polite and professional. We also have a dog aboard and they didn't even care about paperwork for puppy really.
It's all adorable really... These guys in white lab coats and tennis shoes inspecting our veggies and such. It was all in all a great experience.
Well update when we leave to next port
