Zeus3s/Fusion/Sirius not quite working

I have a newly-installed set of electronics that include

Zeus3s chart plotters
Fusion MS-RA670 Head Unit
Fusion ERX400 remote
Sirius XM SXV300AZ receiver connected to Fusion head unit

The Fusion and MFD's are both connected via ethernet and n2k. The fusion link integration to the MFD works properly (volume controls, source select, channel change) until I select Sirius. Then I can't change channels from the MFD and it shows "not connected" instead of the channel info. No track artwork is displayed.

I tried Fusion support, and their first answer was "it's by design, that will never work" which was just patently untrue - plenty of people have that working. When I challenged them on it, they changed their tune to "well it might work sometimes, but it's unsupported functionality so you're on your own". Which sounds like a bs answer too.

I tried Navico support, and their first answer was "have you asked Fusion?".

This really feels like an implementation bug in the Navico stack, I've requested escalation to someone with a clue, but I don't quite know how to get to the right humans. Any ideas?

Re: Zeus3s/Fusion/Sirius not quite working

the MFD is probbaly trying to find a sirus weather antena. which is a different way of getting sirus radio. where it goes from antenna to mfd to radio. and the mfd is the only way to controll it. instead of direct from antena to radio, where the radio controls it.

Any luck yet? I’m about to start my install.

Lot of good info in this thread: Fusion Audio, Garmin, Sirius XM, and NMEA 2000 | Club Sea Ray

Seems like the trick is to connect the Fusion radio and B&G plotter via Ethernet (not Wi-Fi) in addition to NMEA2000. Have you tried that?

Re: Zeus3s/Fusion/Sirius not quite working

For anyone following this thread, I am experiencing the same issue: the MFD just says “not connected” and doesn’t allow control other than volume and on/off.

I tried enabling the Garmin Marine Network and even changed my router to give IP addresses in the 179.16.x.x range to try and convince the Fusion that it was on a GMN, but no luck.

Open to other ideas if anyone has any.
