wireless weather station.

Anyone using a wireless weather station/wind instrument made for marine used? Any recommendation ? What is your monitor power source ? Thank you.

We use a Davis Vantage Vue and it has lived on our mizzen mast for ~8yrs.. It isn't marinized, but has been doing very well.

Two features that were good in this model are the rapid refresh rate for wind info and the barometer alarms.

The wind sensor refreshed data more rapidly than other models (different brands) and could be used as a back up to the mast head sensor if needed.

The barometer has settable fall/rise rates to trigger alarms. This has given us a heads up for on several occasions and is invaluable.
