Wireless speakers??

I have a Clarion CMD6 aboard...works great with the wired speakers inside and in cockpit. However, i'd like to get 2 speakers for the bow but I don't want to run wires/drill holes/etc. Is there any way to use Wireless speakers?? I know this would require the CMD6 to be able to somehow transmit, but I have no idea if there is some sort of adapter that could make that happen. I'm showing my techy ignorance...

Re: Wireless speakers??

I've got theses but you'll need to be able to plug them in somewhere..

Re: Wireless speakers??

I have seen battery operated speakers with Bluetooth. Comes with the adapter for the stereo output that links to the speakers. I would think the batteries wouldn't last long if you turned them up very loud at all.

Re: Wireless speakers??

Thanks! Looking at the website, I take it the speakers come with a transmitter that wires into the audio-out white/red connectors on the CMD6?? Also, the comments suggest the output is fairly weak...how is it on your boat?? Thanks again for responding.

I don't have that setup, just saw a discussion on this forum about wireless speakers so can't really help. From what I recall they aren't that loud and suck down the batteries. I like good sound so go with wired speakers.

What about setting a pair of speakers at the front of the cockpit pointed forward? You could use the existing wiring and still get sound on the bow.
