Wind instrument bluetooth or no?

I need to replace the raymarine wind instrument at the top of the mast. The unit is almost half of the price of the new complete one with no need for cables. Will you go with the new one or just replace the sending unit ? Is bluetooth working well on sailboats¿

Garmin han a nice unit but can't be over 48' from the rx box I believe, I had to wire mine (stick is 63')
