Just reboot - Windows will tell you to do this. The machine will run fine and hopefully better on IPv4 alone. In my experience IPv6 can sometimes cause conflicts which might account for your issues. In Windows all protocols are bound to all adapters, and IPv6 is apparently not bothering your wireless adapter. But, this does not eliminate the possibility that it could cause issues with the ethernet adapter, especially when connected to a bridge.

Another thing you can try - but I guess not until December - is to manually set the ethernet connection's IP address to 192.168.1.x where x is any number between 2 and 254. This is necessary to access the Engenius setup anyway. The Engenius device's default IP is 192.168.1.1. Manually configuring your local area connection with a compatible IP may actually be necessary for the Engenius device to form the initial layer 2 connection bridge. Possibly, the reason the Out Island computer was able to connect was because it already had a 192.168.1.x address - this is very common on private networks.

Have been using the Acer Aspire One with an Engenius for two years in the bahamas and along the US East Coast. Works fine. Using it right now in St. Augustine with the little Engenius antenna sitting by an open hatch.
