Waterproof remote for wireless relay

Looking to get a wireless remote to be able to switch on/off deck lights when away from the boat. Seen these at Amazon. Anyone else using something they happy with?

These are similar to vehicle remote lock fobs and only have a range of up to 100 ft. Is that sufficient? If so, it should work.

Here's another idea - add a passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor to the setup; when armed, anyone in the cockpit would cause the light to go on. Useful deterrent for petty thieves.

Along with the PIR detector you could hook up a light sensor that turns the system on at dusk. You could leave the boat for days and the lights would come on if someone boards the boat after dark.
