BOTH wire sets have white, grey, blue, green, brown, and yellow. The GPS tail has those plus purple and orange. Is there a standard or convention that allows me to match the colors and be hooked up properly? Or are these just the typical array of wire colors and blue doesn't necessarily go to blue? Thanks! John
The NMEA out from the Garmin goes to the NMEA in in the SH and visa versa. I am not at the boat, but check the instructions for the colors, it is not a clean color-to-color connection. I found it easier to mount a terminal strip and land the connections on the strip. The strip also provides a handy point to parallel the feeds to a PC and Open Cpn.

When you get this all hooked up, please PM me. I have the same set-up and continuously loose slow moving targets. I would love to know if you have the same issue.

Thanks

Bill
