Have you tried power off/on to see if that changes anything. I am assuming that you have a 64 bit cpu.
Contacting support is also an option.
Some install programs are or get screwed up and the only way to get rid of the software
is to just delete the program files but that is a last resort. Its also possible that you have a process or service
that is preventing the install program from removing the software
. The software might also be running at startup and msconfig can help you with that. There is some very poorly written software out there and this may be a case in point.
