My Navico HS heading sensor got soaked during Hurricane Michael and is toast. No replacement units are available for this 20 year old autopilot. Is it possible to use a heading sensor from another manufacturer? The Navico has a 4-pin connection.
Did you ever find a replacement HS? I've been looking for parts for my WP10 for a few months and have only found belts available. The 10/30/32 are all compatible as I understand.

Re: Substitute for Navico heading sensor
Dennis, it can't be that complex if it only has four pins. Typically, two are for power and two for data. I don't know if they are still in business but call them and find out what language was used or look for a PDF of your unit which may describe the language that was used...and find a compatible unit. You may also have some luck on eBAY or on a Craigslist based site that searches nationally.
