Strange AWS readings on B&G

We have a Zeus 2 with all B&G instruments and are seeing a strange issue with our AWS.

We're at anchor in a bit of a wind storm and the AWS will read fine under 20 knots bit above that and it jumps to 30, 50, then 79 before coming back down. TWS seems to be reading fine.

I have damping set to 5 seconds and have it set to use SOG to calculate TWS.

Any thoughts on what could cause this?
