Re: Standard Horizon RAM Mic

Restarting this thread
I have got my RAM23 mic to work as a speaker only, won’t work as a sender though.
I managed to find/but a RAM 26 mic online, brand new for only $80.
Standard horizon say they aren’t compatible, but hey they must be eh!
I need the wiring diagram for the ram 26 mic so I can make it work. Anyone got one of those, or even done what I’m attempting?

What are you trying to connect this RAM mic to?

I've had one for years, in my installation it was just plug-n-play.

It’s a GX1270 fixed vhf.
Yes mine is plug and play, but the ram cmp23 external handset doesn’t work properly and cannot be replaced.
The cmp25 mic is available and I have one but the wiring is different
Me thinks I can make it work with a wiring diagram
I’ve asked SH, they said no not compatible, so I now asked for a wiring diagram from them.
Problem put up here to see if anyone else has done this before

Never mind, I misinterptreted. This is an old thread, I got a notification for it on my phone and didnt see all the past posts at first. So i didnt realize what you are really trying to do is a repair/modification.

I too suspect you could make it work, at least partially, with a wiring diagram. Or, using a logic probe/oscilliscope on each lead to figure out the matching leads.
