My understanding is that you can connect multiple NMEA 183 devices to the same terminals. The issue is I think if there is enough signal current for all of them to function. So for example if you have 2 listeners you should be able to connect the to the same terminals or one to another and they both should see and display the data. But there is a limit. Is this correct?

Not without a converter, STng is NMEA2000 compliant.

FYI works just fine feeding AIS to only one plotter via 183.... shared over network to other plotter...

raynet. STHS on older ones probably also does same.
