Standard Horizon Knotmeter

I am looking for information about replacement of an old SL45 knotmeter propeller. The equipment was manufactured in New Zealand. Does anyone has a manual? I would be gratful for any information as I couldn't get it from the manufacturer web page.

They are no longer being made. That was the original product before it became Navman. Standard Horizon specialise in Radio communication and GPS now and are no longer made in NZ.
When you say a "propellor" is this a paddle wheel?? If yes, Airmar make the paddlewheels and you can find a lot of info on their site. I got a paddle wheel for the SL50 via finding the info on Airmar's site and then buying the required model paddle wheel off Ebay.

Thanks very much !! I contacted SH and they promised to send a copy... and I promised that if they have a good copy I would scan it for them.

I am trying to find out if sensing units are compatibile as I assume that finding broken propeller will be next to impossible.

Hello Alan,
Do you remember the Airmar's part number that you have used? Do you feel that it is compatible with the SL45? I bought my boat without the paddlewheel so I have never seen it before.
Thanks
Pablo

I gave up

I have an old Standard Horizon knotmeter on my boat as well, and I searched around forever looking for a replacement. I gave up and decided I would replace it entirely next time I haul out in a year or two.

*shrug*

Not much other advice I can find.
