SSB Radio License Scam

I received in the mail today an offer from Business Radio Licensing of Laguna Hills, CA their kind offer to renew my marine radio license for the fee of ONLY $340.00!!!!! I am pretty sure when the time comes to renew them, I can do so on the FCC web site for free.
What a scam....anyone else experience this kind of thing? I got a similar letter for my ham license from the volunteer radio examiners for a fee of $7. I wanted to support them, so of course happily paid the modest fee to have them handle the renewal. But $340!! Wow....PT Barnum was right!

Renewal for ship station license is not free. It's the same as applying for a new license...$160.00
