Sinead Autopilot. RC 42

Hi there.

I'm on the process of reconnecting/ rewiring my Simrad autopilot. Regarding the Rate Compass wiring I see that that RC42 can be wired for NMEA2000 or 0183. Since I'm missing the simnet connector on this cable I guess I will have to go with the 0183 (the manual asks for the Simnet connector be cut off in this case, which already is)
So how do I connect it to the AC42 computer? Just use the Simnet slots on the computer? Which ones?
Or should I get a whole new Simnet cable with terminals and rewire the rate compass?

After all what's the advantage/ disadvantage of having it wired like 0183 instead of 2000?

Thanks for any input.

Daniel
