Simrad AP26 baud rate on NMEA 0183

I have my new Ray eS127 MFD connected to the ancient Simrad AP26 pilot via NMEA 0183, but Ray is telling me "no pilot"

Data Input on one device is connected to Data Output on the other device, with + connects to +
As advised here earlier, I have this connected to the Ray 4 wire, In & Out 0183 port #1

Ray gives only 2 choices of baud rate, 4800 and AIS 38,400 and neither works
I am assuming 4800, but the Simrad manual does not state the baud rate for 0183

Anyone know the Simrad baud rate - grasping at straws now as I am sure it is connected correctly

Oddly enough the Matsutec HA-102 AIS is giving me "no AIS" on Ray using either baud rate.
2 wire connection on Ray port 2

For the life of me I cannot see what I have done wrong and no support here in the Philippines at all.

Re: Simrad AP26 baud rate on NMEA 0183

it's going to say no pilot. unless you have a new raymarine pilot.

but it'll get heading form the pilot. and send nav data to the pilot. you should see heading on plotter. same value as pilot. and waypoint info on pilot screen. you'll have to engauge the pilot from the pilot screen. in nav mode

baud is 4800. everything is except ais

I have never seen a no AIS alarm. the X on the top right of a ray screen for AIS generally means the collision alarm is turned off. not no ais. it's not going to talk to a non ray AIS either. see above. but you'll get targets.

If I had known that Ray would only integrate Ray products I would have rethought the purchase or entire system design. In any case it is what I have now and have to live with it.
Not so bad really, as I cannot see myself using dock to dock autorouting anyway.............

The new series Ray unlike my old CW80, has the pilot, AIS, radar, and GPS icons arranged at the bottom of the home screen. Pilot and AIS are red X'ed out.
No AIS is a much bigger deal and I would really like the data on the plotter.
Back to the boat to play with it all a bit more

Thanks for the help once again
