Simrad AC12 software update

I have problem that my AP24 becomes inactive in moment when I am switching into the auto mode.

I have got the hint that I have to do the AC12 software update.

I was googing and find out that I need a CAN bus adapter. But not any details abot what exactly it is it.

PC usb port has 4 pins. And usualy red and black are power 5 V. So I presume it will work if I can find how to conect other two lines for data.

I have forgot now about the software interface, but I think I can find this info again.

My specific question is now if someobe has been in same situation and how did it find the way to at the end update the AC12 software?
