Hi folks,
Has anyone gone all out and torn out/fully replaced their Scheiber system (lighting/control system, default in
Lagoon, etc).
We have a
Lagoon 52 with the Scheiber controlling
cabin lighting, fuel/water gauges, switching Gen vs Shore, and controlling navigation/mast
lighting.
The system is such an utter piece of !@)(#&@!()#*&!$%! that I'm looking to tear it out and replace it with anything other than it.
It's endless frustration with modules that need configuration, and has been an absolute
safety critical hazard when it chooses which nav lights it doesn't feel like powering up when told to.
And of course, every crappy silly box is several $100s for a sub-par system that any home automation setup could run circles around for 1% of the cost...
Something with manual backup (ie physical switches), but not opposed to 'smart' systems?
Cheers,
Alex
