Robertson AP300DXL control head

Sadly my trusty Robertson control head screen has developed a blank area in the middle of the screen. (The data is there, you can't see it with out shining a flash light onto the screen). This has been the best, most dependable autopilot I have ever owned. I hate to replace it. Anybody have an old control head laying around they would sell or know someone who might be able to fix it? Simrad informed me that parts and support for this unit has not been available for more than 10 years!
